Quondam Arts feedback

Headless Chickens was very relevant to our group in terms of the kind of inter-school rivalries we are sometimes encouraged to feel. Also, I learned about comic timing…I could use the second performance to put into practice what I learned in the first.

Game Over was very up to date and showed how things can get quite scary when people in power think they can control things and they can’t. Her grandfather said it was better than Billy Elliot!

Headless Chickens was great, and the group all loved it. I’d trawled the internet for months in vain looking for original material that engaged older teenagers, and I’m so glad I found the Quondam website. We had a couple of younger ones in the group that didn’t quite get the satire, but I think that’s always the case when you have a larger cast. What’s more, the parents loved it. When you depart from the established repertoire I am always wary as to how parents are going to react, but the kids sold it to them and they all came. Good to see some of their mates in the audience too. It showed the group were proud of the script.
